About the Work

On an eclipse night, a group of lifelong friends gathers for dinner. Suddenly, someone makes an unexpected suggestion: put their phones on the table and share the messages and calls that come in during the evening with everyone. Would you be up for it?

Perfect Strangers is a fast-paced and vibrant comedy, a true roller coaster full of laughter, shocks, and surprises, where intimacy is put to the test. With a solid and deeply human script, the play reflects on trust, friendship, the most closely guarded secrets, and the impact of new technologies on our relationships.

In 2016, the film Perfect Strangers Paolo Genovese's film won Best Screenplay for an International Narrative Feature Film (Tribeca Film Festival) and Best Film at the David di Donatello Awards. Perfect Strangers was a global success, winning numerous awards and becoming the film with the most adaptations worldwide.

About Paolo Genovese

Paolo Genovese, Italian director and screenwriter, was born in Rome in 1966. He graduated in Economics and Commerce. He began his career directing commercials and achieved success in both advertising and film. In 1998, he began collaborating with Luca Miniero, with whom he co-wrote and co-directed the short film Walter's ScopertaThe duo made their feature film debut in 2002 with the acclaimed comedy A Neapolitan Spell. Genovese made his directorial debut in 2010 with the film The Santa Claus GangIn 2016, his film Perfect Strangers won Best Screenplay for an International Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was awarded Best Film at the David di Donatello Awards. Perfect Strangers It was a global success, winning numerous awards and becoming the film with the most adaptations in the world.
